A Week of 1st, Fun, and Good Directions!!

What a wonderful week we had last week!! J.David had so many 1st!! To start last week off J.David was able to attend church for the very first time. It was so fun to take him and we were definitely sporting the proud parent hats. He was so good and slept the entire time, even through all the passing back and forth between Morgan, Nana, Pap-pa, and me.

Our first Sunday picture outside of Sweet Tomatoes!

Then Monday we loaded up the car, and I mean LOADED up the car and headed to Searcy, AR! Our first trip to Arkansas as a family to see Grandma and Grandpa Trotter. He really did outstanding in the car, he slept almost the entire way! Of course what would a road trip be without a few funny moments? So let me share with you just a few....At our first official feeding/bathroom stop I thought that instead of taking him in to change him I could do it in the car while Morgan went inside....WRONG! It was a nasty poopy diaper for starters, but the best part of the story is that he wasn't done yet...so yes, as you can imagine, Mommy got to catch his poop in my HAND! Talk about really feeling like a member of the Mom Club! ha ha ha. The second thing we discovered on our road trip was that J.David enjoys country music. During my last trimester of pregnancy I really enjoyed the country song "Good Directions" by Billy Currington and jammed to it all the time in the car. J.D. always moved when it came on, but I just thought it was coincidence. Well, ironically enough, I think he just liked it! Whenever we played that song in the car he got quiet. I know some of you may thing I am crazy...BUT...it happened not just once or twice, but about 5 times! Needless to say that is a little trick Mommy and Daddy are keeping in the back pocket! ha ha ha.

Sorry, no pics of the road trip...a little over packed and frazzled!

The rest of the week just consisted of hanging out with the family and introducing J.David to all our wonderful friends and family. He especially enjoyed meeting his Aunt Lindsay and The Connetts (we are so excited for him to meet baby Connett in May)! Wednesday he turned one month old and Thursday was the best Thanksgiving ever because I have never been so Thankful!

He had two Thanksgiving outfits and b/c of spit got to wear the both!

And last but not least (I know this is getting long) we celebrated Christmas with the Trotter side of the family! It was such a wonderful time and J.David loved staring at the packages. Especially Grandma's shiny wrapping paper.

Sorry this one is SOOO long!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I love all of the pictures. What a fun Thanksgiving! I cannot wait to meet him. Your road trip story is so funny. That is funny that he already has his favorite song. J. David is precious and he is growing fast. You look great Jamie.
