Merry Christmas!!

Just a few pictures from our Christmas morning! We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! J.David stayed awake for most of the morning festivities and really seemed to be enjoying all the excitement. We have had such a fun week and J.David has really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with his daddy!

J.David is 2 months old!!

SMILE!!
This is my FAVORITE facial expression...it means "NOT HAPPY MOMMA!"

I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by!! We had our two month appointment today and it was SO sad!! He got 4 shots, and he did so good...better than me! He is still growing steady, he is now 11 lbs 13 oz and 23 inches long. No wonder my arms are getting so sore from carrying him around!!

Welcome Home Auntie Em!!!

My sister, Emily, has been in Italy since September with the Harding abroad program. We were so excited for her to have had that experience but we missed her so much and we know how hard it was for her to miss J. David's birthday. These are some pictures of her coming home last Wednesday and getting to meet her sweet nephew! It is going to be such a great Christmas to have the whole family together again!

Her crazy family with signs...Welcome Home Emmy!!
Pap-pa and J.David waiting patiently.
Mommy and J.David waiting with their cool sign!
Auntie Em meeting J.D. for the very first time...VERY emotional for all!
It took a lot of effort to remove him from her arms once she had him!

Emily seeing her Max for the first time in 3 months!

After the adrenaline wore off she stayed in this position the rest of the evening!

HO HO HO!!

We took J.David to meet Santa on Saturday! We dressed him up, and ventured into the Holiday madness...it was GREAT! He was SO good, didn't cry at all, we were so proud! I just wish he would have been as interested in Santa as he was in the reindeer decorations off to the side. HA HA HA...the poor guy behind the camera tried so hard to get J.D's attention and well...nothing was more intriguing than the reindeer.

What a Stud Muffin!!

J.David had his first date! ha ha...He got to meet his new friend Grace on Friday! It was so cute to see them side by side. They are only 3 1/2 weeks apart and we can't wait to watch them grow up together. I am sure that there will be a lot more pictures of J.David with Grace and Asher (he was born 4 days after Grace) over the next few months!

A little history:

We were so blessed to find a wonderful group of friends at church last year when we moved here. Shortly after we announced that we were pregnant last March it was only a matter of weeks before 2 more couples were making the same announcement! A group that started with no children in '07 will ring in the New Year with 3 new additions, with 3 on the way! It has been such a blessing to share in such a wonderful journey with our new friends!

The Best 6 weeks of my life!!

What a wonderful journey parenting is! J.David turned 6 weeks old yesterday and I just can't get over how much he has changed. We had a Dr. Appt last Monday and he was 10 lb 3 oz and was 22.25 inches long! He is quite the eater and just doing great! Everyday he seems different to me whether it be heavier, more alert, or just simply older. With each day I am thankful and excited for these changes, but also saddened by how quickly his little life is already flying by!

This photo was taken today after one of his feedings. He was so happy after eating and just smiling like crazy,Especially after he found out some exciting news from the Connett family!! (And yes, that is spit up on the side of his mouth...but I take what I can get!)

This weekend was a great one! We spent all day Saturday putting up our Christmas stuff. This had double significance for us b/c it is our first holiday season in our house and the first Christmas with J.David, so it was a fun and exciting day for us! J. David really enjoys the lights on the tree and was so good all day running to Lowe's for lights and watching mommy and daddy work like crazy to get it done. It must have tired him out b/c we ALL slept through the night! Yes, I said ALL...woo hoo!! I know I would be naive to think this would happen all the time, but once or twice a week would be a great goal to shoot for! ha ha ha. Here are some pictures of us from tonight in front of the tree and of J.D. putting up his first ornament (he fell asleep before we got to this weekend).
