Cry Baby Matinee!

Today J.David and I went to see Juno at the movie theater. Why would I consider going to the cinema with a baby? Well, the Galleria offers the coolest thing...Mommy and Baby day at the movies! It is called the Cry Baby Matinee and I think it is GENIUS!! There were probably about 12 or more moms with their babies and there really weren't any uncontrollable outburst. I was VERY impressed. So I encourage all mommies to look this up in their towns and see if/where it is offered. We will for sure be doing this again!
p.s. Juno was Super Cute!

3 Months Old!!

I can't believe that our little boy is 3 months old! He is just the light of our lives and growing like a weed! Here are just a few things that we have learned about J.David in the past 3 months:
1) He wakes up every morning with a BIG smile!!
2) He LOVES being naked (bath time and diaper changes)
3) He is not crazy about naps, but is sleeping about 8 hours a night!!
4) He is very calm in church when the congregation is singing...he LOVES music!!
5) Mommy is his favorite person for now...Daddy is about to take over that spot.
6) Elly the Elephant is becoming his favorite toy! We even have a song about him.
7) He does not like tummy time...AT ALL!!
8) He really likes watching football! I think it is all the color...Morgan thinks he is already a fan...ha ha ha!
9) He can fill his diaper at unbelievable volumes...ha ha ha both in quantity and sound!!
10) He has the cutest sad face we have ever seen!

Mommy and Me...

Well, its official...we have a Mommy's boy on our hands!! We have had quite the week. It seems that my son is much smarter than we give him credit for, because on the days we are home he will do anything and everything he can to make sure that mommy does nothing but hold, cuddle, and play with him. Now don't get me wrong, I love doing those things more than anything, and I would be lying if I didn't admit that a large part of me LOVES that he wants to be with me and sometimes only me that much...but there are other things in the house that must get done...and well, Mr. J.David and his sad forced cry (which means HOLD ME NOW!!) make it pretty hard. So I am slowly trying to learn the ways around this, and trying hard to do what I can when I can. If anyone with a similar situation has any tips, please send them my way! Here are some other random pictures from the week...Enjoy!

I LOVE after bath time...Bathing is our favorite activity!!

sweet dreams and playtime!!

Shake, Rattle, and ROLL!!

As you can see from the picture above we have really been working hard during out tummy time! ha ha ha...But today, just before his nap, it happened! Our first BIG milestone as mommy and baby...J.David ROLLED OVER!! It was so cute and I am so proud of him. It is amazing how much life changes after a baby. Six months ago I thought a big day was getting a good deal at the mall...today it is the joy of watching my precious son roll to his back for the first time ever! I always knew that I wanted to be a mother and that it would be wonderful, but I never realized how wonderful and fulfilling it actually would be. Hard? yes. Tiring? you bet! Worth it? More than I could put into words! Here are some pictures from our big moment!

And Ta-Da!! After!!

A few more updates: We average about 6 hours a night (we even got our first 8 hour night on Friday night!), J.David is talking like crazy! The language is unknown, but I love it anyway. And finally, we are slowly growing out of our 0-3 month clothes and wearing almost all 3-6 ers. Sad...but he started to get so long that he couldn't stretch his legs out in his sleepers, I decided that I needed to give in! ha ha ha!

Merry Christmas!!

Just a few pictures from our Christmas morning! We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! J.David stayed awake for most of the morning festivities and really seemed to be enjoying all the excitement. We have had such a fun week and J.David has really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with his daddy!

J.David is 2 months old!!

SMILE!!
This is my FAVORITE facial expression...it means "NOT HAPPY MOMMA!"

I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by!! We had our two month appointment today and it was SO sad!! He got 4 shots, and he did so good...better than me! He is still growing steady, he is now 11 lbs 13 oz and 23 inches long. No wonder my arms are getting so sore from carrying him around!!

Welcome Home Auntie Em!!!

My sister, Emily, has been in Italy since September with the Harding abroad program. We were so excited for her to have had that experience but we missed her so much and we know how hard it was for her to miss J. David's birthday. These are some pictures of her coming home last Wednesday and getting to meet her sweet nephew! It is going to be such a great Christmas to have the whole family together again!

Her crazy family with signs...Welcome Home Emmy!!

Auntie Em meeting J.D. for the very first time...VERY emotional for all!
It took a lot of effort to remove him from her arms once she had him!

After the adrenaline wore off she stayed in this position the rest of the evening!
