Growing Up

The last week of June was a big week in our house!  J.David not only graduated to a big boy bed, but he also gave up his most precious possession: his pacis.  He was so excited about getting his bed and we explained that pacis don't belong in a big boy bed.  He decided he wanted to give them to his baby brother so he decorated a gift bag and dropped them in with a smile!  SO impressed!!  The transition to his new bed went just as well.  He picked out his own bedding, choo choo bedding, and couldn't wait to sleep on it!  Overall he has done fantastic!!  He doesn't get out unless we go in to get him but we have had a few issues with the actual going to bed part, we think that we finally found a solution this week, but i'm not holding my breath!  So far the only effects we've seen from no paci are an earlier wake up call and the occasional mid-night wake up, both of which I think are slowly getting better as he is learning to put himself back to sleep!!  Here are some pics from our big events!
