Blog-a-thon post #2: Birthday Party, Rams Game, Trunk or Treat

Yes, all of that did happen in one weekend!  Morgan came home Friday night and we had a family birthday party on Saturday.  It was a lot of fun and J.David really got into the whole opening gifts thing.  He was so funny, every gift he opened he would ask me to open it and say..."i wanna play".  If it were up to him the party would have lasted all day with a play break in between each gift.  We got him the cutest boy kitchen and he loves it!  He immediately pretended to wash his hands, that is my little Danny Tanner for ya!  Side track moment: the other night he was "cooking" me chicken in his kitchen and before we "ate" he said, "mommy, pray." and bowed his head, folded his hands, and said "God. (pause) Amen."  ha ha ha....talk about adorable!!  He also got his first Thomas the Train set from Granny and Pap-pa and woke up at 2:30 the next morning saying..."I wanna play.  Choo-Choo, I wanna play."

He was so tired he fell asleep in the middle of dinner.

His cake.  The theme of course was trains.

This time he blew out the candle all by himself!

JD with his gifts, ready to open.  Then my camera died so granny has all the actual opening of gift pics.

This one was just cute!

Sunday we went to the Rams game and got to see Peyton Manning play.  The Rams lost something aweful so seeing Peyton play was the highlight of my first NFL game.

We came home and had about 2 hours before Trunk or treat.  The weekend was busy and left us exhausted, but we had a blast!  I'm only afraid now that a day at home with mommy after a series of fun field trips and parties will be anything but exciting!  ha ha.
