Mother's Day Weekend (post from a week ago..sorry!)

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!! Morgan came home last Wednesday night and will be home for a while!! That is a Mother's Day gift within itself!! A family again, at last!! Saturday Morgan had to work in the morning and JD gave me the sweet gift of sleeping til 10:15...WHAT!?! Yes, I said 10:15!! So, I too slept in and it was FANTASTIC, especially after the crazy week we had last week. Sunday we had a special morning at home before heading to church and i received some adorable sandals and earrings from my boys! We then had my family and grandma over for lunch after church and then headed to my Uncle's house for dinner to celebrate with my other grandma. It was busy but wonderful!! It is such a blessing to have so many wonderful role models to celebrate on Mother's Day. We only wish Mimi could have been here to honor her as well.

Saturday another special gift came in the mail. The Heartprints organization (they are the group that helps families that have lost a baby. Because of them we have photos and keepsakes of our Alexander.) had sent out a special Mother's day gift. They made little rings that spelled out MOM with a little poem that read as though Alexander was writing it from Heaven. It was such a touching thing to receive, I just can't get over how much this organization goes above and beyond. I wore the ring on Sunday morning and it was like having a piece of Alexander there with us.
